Cinarra's real-time location-based advertising targeting solutions stand out for their sophistication and effectiveness. Through their innovative platform, advertisers gain the ability to precisely target frequent consumers based on their habits, shopping preferences, venue selections, and real-time movements. Notably, Cinarra's solutions are already making waves in the Japanese market, offering businesses a powerful tool to engage their target audience with precision and efficiency.
Project scope
Develop a comprehensive web application tailored for advertising industry professionals, equipped with robust targeting, reporting, and campaign management tools. Prioritize continuous enhancement of navigation and architecture, guided by valuable user feedback. Seamlessly integrate various targeting-based products into a cohesive, interconnected solution for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
My role
Visual and user experience design, developer collaboration, art direction. Customer feedback analysis and development of experiences based on it. Design system creation and maintenance. Progressive improvement of navigation and data visualization.
Design rationale
Upon joining the Cinarra team, I embarked on a comprehensive redesign effort, as the applications were originally crafted primarily by developers. We initiated a fresh start to revamp the design from the ground up. A key challenge we addressed was the intricate navigational structures inherent in Cinarra's interface, which underwent a thorough redesign and optimization process.
Recognizing the significance of precise and adaptable data visualization to our customers, I devoted attention to refining this aspect of our design. I established new standards for charts, graphics, and tables, enabling us to present vast amounts of data in a concise and effective manner.
The campaign creation interface underwent multiple redesign iterations driven by valuable customer feedback. We systematically reorganized products to adhere to consistent interaction and navigation patterns throughout the interface, enhancing user familiarity and efficiency.
Sora font
Furthermore, we dedicated efforts to crafting a font that strikes a balance between a digital feel and human touch. Sora typeface was designed to capture Soramitsu's spirit and heritage resulting in a type family with cues of low-resolution aesthetics and early screen typography but without nostalgia, as every decision was considered towards the crisp digital environment of today. The particularly big x-height combined with evidently generous counters turns the family into a convenient tool for app and web interfaces, where clarity and effectiveness at any size is an imperative.
